Dr. Michelle Witkin is a licensed clinical psychologist (#PSY 14855) with over 25 years experience treating children, teens, and adults. She is a specialist in treating anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and related disorders. She has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, community mental health centers, residential treatment settings, and non-public schools.
Dr. Witkin is a regular speaker at national and local conferences, classes, workshops, and radio programs. She is dedicated to shedding light on anxiety, decreasing stigma about anxiety disorders, and bringing hope to anxiety sufferers. Her audiences have included mental health professionals, school personnel, and the general public.
Dr. Witkin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She attended the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles (a program accredited by the American Psychological Association) where she earned her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in clinical psychology with an emphasis in individual and family treatment. She has completed the International Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Foundation’s General Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) and Pediatric BTTI. She is a Clinical Fellow and professional member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA). She is a professional member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA), and the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). She was an active member of the Board of Directors for the Child & Family Center in Santa Clarita, CA from 2003 – 2017. Prior to joining the Board of Directors, Dr. Witkin was a member of the clinical staff at the Child & Family Center, where she served as the Director of Quality Assurance and Improvement.
